New trailer for quay film
February 3, 2011
The trailer for the film The Quay has been updated and includes some lovely shots of the creek as it was in the past. It is striking how it is still used today as it always has been. Jobs have always been created in Faversham by vessels arriving up the Creek. We need real local jobs even more with international companies like Pfizer upping sticks and going elsewhere. Properly managed, the Creek can provide them. http://www.thequayfilm.net

It is many years since I have visited Standard Quay but it is clear, from the film, that it has improved, expanded and is thriving doing what it was built for.
How can the people of Faversham and its Council even consider closing it or changing its use.
barges and the creek are the history of the town.
I am now only able to sail in a barge, as a member of the Thames Sailing Barge Trust, out of Maldon; they welcome barges and make the most of their attraction to visitors. Faversham has even more to offer and yet appears to be oblivious to what they will lose if this unique place is changed.
